The People behind the company

Leather goods from India - SGL Leathers was created in 2002, by three people who have a combined experience 30 years between them, in the leather products sector.

P.Krishnamurthy, M.Venkatesh and Thomas Abraham are the founders and the people behind this organization handling every aspect of the company - planning, material procurement, packaging, quality control, labor issues, PR and marketing, and buyer relationships."

Infrastructure
The manufacturing unit of the company operates out of a fully covered area of 3000 sq. ft. and is equipped with all required machinery, ample lighting and separate storage and working areas. The workers are skilled in all operations required for best leather goods manufacture. They are protected by all compulsory norms and requirements of the Government of India, like insurance, for instance. The company operates on a combination of jobbing and full in-house production. The production capacity is about 1,000 fully finished wallets per day."

Strength and Versatility
We are able to produce reputed quality leather products at competitive prices. Having our own development and sourcing department for finished leather and other materials means that we have a vast range of materials we work with. We also have a department that deals with packaging and coding of all products - like card boxes, tin boxes, bands, bar coding, price ticketing, etc. - which helps our buyer receive our products straight from our factory to the retail unit." Design and Development
We have our own in-house team of designers and sampling personnel to constantly create and update our database of materials, styles and products. This means that we are able to manufacture all types of best leather goods for our buyers.
